Simple portraits

I’ve been drawing and painting portraits for quite a while and while I love the attention to every delicate detail I also love the freedom of interpretation. Lately I’ve been experimenting with drawing portraits in a more simple style. I’ve been using mostly a combination of Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils and Tombow dual brush pens.

I did these quick mini portraits of an Instagram friend, Danish journalist Trine Lundager.

This is Samantha (Kim Cattrall) in an episode of Sex and the City where she has a not so hot affair with a fireman.

The last portraits are of Liz Taylor and Johnny Cash.
