100 Days Of Faces

I decided to give the #the100dayproject a crack again this year. From April 2 I’m drawing and posting a new drawing every day on instagram. My theme this year is #100daysoffaces. Portraits inspired by my instagram feed.

The rule for this year’s drawings is: Crayon and colored pencils only!

I love the simplicity and clean lines of drawing with crayon and colored pencils and wanted to explore it further. Pencil and watercolor/ gouache seem to be a little more forgiving when drawing, while crayons and colored pencils demand more commitment.

True to tradition I’m already a bit behind on the project but here’s a few examples of the portraits I’ve done so far.
